One of my takeaways from Ruckusmakers was that in order to differentiate yourself from others, from your competition, you don’t need to do much.
So many businesses, and individuals that work for them, are focused on the bottom line – the cost, the revenue and the profit.
When you decide to show up and truly deliver something that matters (be it advice, insight, constructive criticism or just a hug,) you set yourself apart.
You don’t have to be the most talented.
You don’t have to have the biggest budget.
You don’t have to know all of the answers.
You just have to show up every single day when (and where) others are not.
You just have to hold yourself accountable to doing the best work you’re capable of.
You just have to care and try.
It might be scary, but all you have to do to set yourself apart TODAY is show up, see the world and speak your truths.
But don’t show up for me or for your boss – show up for yourself, in a way that is true and authentic to the person you are.
I love that you have been “showing up” everyday. Keep it up!
So true, Miss Jules. I love you to the moon and back. Mom
