Throw away the bad

If there’s one thing I’ve come to realize lately, it’s that life is unpredictable.

One second, one curve ball, could turn the best day you’ve ever had into the worst.

Sometimes the curve balls that are thrown our way are so big that they knock us off our feet. Sometimes they just seem big and then a moment of clarity enables us to take a step back and put it in perspective.

We can’t control the (size, timing or frequency of the) curve balls that are thrown at us, but we can control our response and reaction to them.

We can decide how we want to deal with the events in our lives that we didn’t willfully choose to occur.

I personally opt to take my grandma’s approach to life: hold on to the good days and throw away the bad.
