Do you have a full-time job but you’re working on a side-hustle? Are you looking to build a personal brand?
It’s not easy to build a personal brand while working a full-time job, but it’s doable.
Growing a side-hustle requires patience, commitment, and consistency.
Personal brands aren’t built overnight; they take days, weeks, months and years of effort.
3 Tips for the Side-Hustler:
If you are trying to grow your side-hustle, I think there are three critical things you need to do:
- Time management: strong time management skills are critical. Working a full-time job means you have limited hours to dedicate to your side work. That means you need to make a plan for how you’re going to best utilize this valuable time so that you’re spending it on the things that are most meaningful for your personal brand. Planning and organization will help you maximize your limited time.
- Decide your thing: picking a topic is critical to growing a personal brand. You need to determine what it is you want to be known as an expert in. Think about the area that you want to establish expertise in so that you can take steps backward in order to get there.
- Pick your medium: What kind of content are you going to create? Are you going to podcast, blog or vlog? When you decide the type of content you want to create, it’s easier to make a plan for how and when you’re going to create it.
By deciding your topic, managing your time well and creating a plan for content creation, you’ll maximize your limited time.
Planning ahead and being organized will enable you to take steps every week that drive you closer towards your side-hustle goals.
Do you agree? What do you think is important for those working on a side-hustle?
