Stories on Instagram are the most powerful and popular functionality on the platform.
Instagram wouldn’t be what it is today without Stories.
Why Instagram:
Instagram has 500+ million daily active users, making it a smart place to spend time.
Not to mention, Instagram is owned by Facebook which means that Stories are constantly being tweaked to have more features and functionality.
Instagram’s Stories let you do so much; you can post a photo or video, take a poll, add a location, temperature, stickers and more.
One of the best features available through Stories is the question functionality.
Instagram lets you ask your audience a question that they can send an answer directly to you.
This feature is incredibly useful in growing your engagement on the platform.
The way it works is simple: add the question sticker to your video or photo post and type in the question that you want to ask your audience.
Your audience can respond directly to the question when viewing your story.
The responses are available for just you to see in your Stories.
You can decide to share the answer onto your Stories (I highly recommend this) OR just browse through them!
Here is why I love the question functionality:
- Community: It’s a great way to grow a community. Ask your audience about the kind of content they want to see OR ask them something personal as a way to get to know them better. Use the questions as a way to generate information about your followers and what they’re looking for from you!
- Engagement: People want to respond to these questions because it makes them feel like they are a part of something. Sharing the answers you get is a way to grow that sense of community even further. Show your followers you appreciate their answers by featuring them on your Stories!
Instagram is definitely my favorite place to create content.
Through the use of InstaStories, you can connect to your audience better.

InstaStories are fun, dynamic and human. I create them daily and have no plan of slowing down because I see the power they have.
