Thanks to the fact that email, unlike social media channels, is fully customizable, it gives you the opportunity to really showcase your brand.

Building recognition for your brand is a lot harder to do on social media because social media is crowded.

Using email to create connections:

My favorite way to use email marketing is to use it to create real connections to my audience.

Through email, I share updates on what I’m working on, links to videos that I created and blog posts that I’ve written that I think you’ll find helpful.

I also ask questions in order to get to know YOU better.

I believe that if you’re not asking your fans for feedback, you’re missing out on critical opportunities to learn and improve.

When it comes down to it, you need to be strategic and thoughtful with your email communications.

It’s important to take the time to invest in the look of your template; you want your emails to be a good reflection of your brand.

You also want to keep in mind any opportunities for continuing the conversation; if you can get someone to go from email to social media to connect with you, that’s a real win.

Lastly, don’t abuse your audience’s time or respect; sending an email every day is an easy way to turn your fans off.

Show that you care by crafting high-quality content and inspires, educates and/or entertains your audience.
