2 Ways To Start The Day In The Best Headspace

Are you looking to start the day feeling more productive? Do you want to be less overwhelmed about how much you have to get done in a day?

When it comes to morning routines, I have a pretty tight one.

I start the day with two simple activities that allow me to feel most productive and positive: exercise and gratitude journaling.

My morning routine allows me to connect with my mind and my body before I ever leave the house.

Start The Day Right:

If you want to start off the day in the best way, you have to have discipline.

You want to create a schedule for yourself that you can follow; you have to be your own accountability partner.

The specifics of my morning routine may vary from day to day but the structure doesn’t.

Every morning, I make it a point to reflect and exercise.

I’m a big believer in a gratitude practice; that is why I write down a few things that I am grateful for every single morning.

Whether it’s my health, friends or community; I find something to be grateful for every single day.

I take the time to really feel that gratitude in my heart before I do anything else.

The best thing about a gratitude practice? It’s a gift that you give yourself.

By focusing on the good in your life, you literally wire your brain to notice MORE of the good and less of the bad. It’s a powerful practice.

Once I’m overflowing with gratitude, I move onto the second activity that I do every single morning which is exercise.

I move my body in some way every single day before I leave the house.

Even if all I have is 5 minutes; I’ll do 20 jumping jacks, 10 squats, or just take a quick walk.

Exercise gets the oxygen flowing to your brain and helps wake up both your brain and your body.

If I ever miss that movement in the morning, I can tell because my brain feels foggier throughout the entire day. Those natural endorphins really are amazing!

Morning workouts allow me to quiet my mind and really tap into my physicality.

A gratitude practice and exercise are two simple things that are easy to incorporate into your morning routine.

What do you do every day before you leave the house?
