Not a sprint

“This is a journey, a marathon, not a sprint. It’s important to recognize that,” said my fellow Ruckusmaker, Lindsay.

When you treat your life, or your goals, like a sprint, you often lose sight of the true value of the work you’re doing.

You rush in a sprint – and good work should never be rushed.

It takes time to grow and to change.

It takes time to become confident in your ability to make the change you want to see in the world.

Why? Because our priorities, dreams and fears are constantly changing.

It takes time to overcome the fears that are standing in your way of following your dreams.

Most importantly, it takes time to see — to get comfortable and confident seeing and speaking truths.

“Part of being our best selves is having the guts to not avert our eyes, to look closely at what scares us, what disappoints us, what threatens us. By looking closely we have a chance to make change happen,” Seth said in one of his latest blogs.
